So i wanted to start my website today but i was watching kirk teach some css stuff so i am hopefully going to start it tomorrow
and then come back to today. I am also feeling sick and so are alot of other people in robotics.
Today In Robotics: Mr. miller was having issues with some personal things so he had to go home. this meant fab had to sand pipes
for the pit. it was boring, painfull and freezing But, someone had to do it and we did get alot done.

Welp today i am sick unfortunatly and i cant go to school. so today i am going to sleep and start my new website. i have already gotten
the colors and backgrounds working so just adding some new upgrades.
Today In Robotics: No Robotics On Wednesday :(

today we are helping other people get their html websites working and i am helping a row get their home pages. that was pretty much it
it was a productive day for everyone.
Today In Robotics: in robotics we were going to weld but there was too many people so we had to sand pipes again. it was cold and wet but someone
has to do it.then mr miller told us we are working with a new welder to help them learn and i am helping maddie.

Sam and i are working on how to make lots of wilton blocks at once and we think we have found a way to do it. we are putting a stop and just pushing them all against eachother. it might work.
Today in Robotics: We are just teaching people how to make wilton blocks and we are pumping them out 5 at a time. sam and i have got it down.

Today is a wednesday challenge to find the giveaway. i am just judging all the groups.
Today in Robotics: we have finally started making the pieces for the robot battery box we just got them so not all the pieces are done yet.

today we are talking about the winner for the wednesday challenge and i think we are going with conors team.
Today in Robotics: i was doing practice welds and welded two tips together. its not all bad because cole welded one shut too.
we went to the store but they didnt have tips but they had the drill bits. but they all broke. GOOD DAY.

Today in Robotics: We are working on cutting the chassis pieces and some people are practice welding. i am just cutting stuff with gingy.

today is tuesday and we are working in the shop making pieces for the robot. we are currently cutting pieces for the battery box.
Today in Robotics: we finished the pieces for the battery box and are going to weld it soon.

I couldnt go to school today. i am very sick and cant really leave bed. i think i am just going to sleep today and hope i get better

i am still sick unfortunatly and spent all day just sleeping and feeling bad. i am hopeing i can go to school tomorrow because i dont want
to fall too behind. i am also working on my website today so that i dont get too behind.
I couldnt go to robotics today :( it was a sad day.

So today we talked about what we did in robotics that week and about how we are starting the chassis for the main robot
then we went into the back to work on the chassis and we cut some tubes we needed. i am making 2 26" part.
Today In Robotics: i Did some practice welds and waited for the mill because nathans peices were alot harder than mine so it took him a while.we also
found out we are out of welding gas so all my welds were really bad. one half was overheating and one half was too cold.

Today during class i accidentaly uploaded the wrong file to filezilla causing all my progress on my website to be deleted. i forgot that the computers
at school dont have my files and only my pc at home has the right file. this means i have to pray the file is at home or just redo all my entries.
good new is this gives me a reason to fully update all my css. i also lost all the wednesday challenge forms i just added in. :(
Today In Robotics: We got the robot driving but the motor mounts are bending so we cant run it anymore. it is VERY fast and it is alittle
scary. we need to add churros so the mounts dont move.
we are going over websites because 17 people have F's and that isnt good. we are going over required stuff for websites. i am trying to add youtube links and some other fun stuff.
Today In Robotics: Scrimage at LCHS. It was so much fun and we got to talk to their welding team. well it was only one guy but he was really nice.

Today we are designing our wednesday challenge and we are designing an A for another group. i am making it as easy as possible so the other group can fabricate it perfectly.

Today we are building our A's and cole isnt here so his partner is joing my group. we did okay but overall i am disapointed with my job fabricating the design.

today we watched a video about some new planets that were discoverd. then we went over the A wednesday challenge. Then we worked on websites until the end of the day.

Today In Robotics: No Robotics Because our robot is ded in a bag.
Today Some of the vets are working on making a climbing mech that will be light and allow us to quickly climb. the problem is that we have to keep it under 10 pounds and i dont know if it is going
to be strong enough. we can test it with a person but i think that is alittle dangerous.

Today Sam Cole Kevin and i worked on the climbing device for our robot. we are going over gear ratios and materials we should use. we are thinking a steel rod with a aluminum support. i think we can make it work
One issue is that it has to be very light. it cant be more than 10 pounds and that is the real challenge.
Today In Robotics: we did an asthetics meeting today. i build dr neats gear and it looks great. i will have a picture soon when i can get a camera that works. my phones camera doesnt work at the moment :(
Today Mr Miller gave us a wednesday challenge where we have to build a boat tail for a rocket out of cardboard. there is a packet full of math and other complicated diagrams. this is going
to be a hard one especially because we have never done it before.

Today in class we are contiueing to work on the wednesday challenge i will have a wednesday challenge but i cant spend time on that right now because it is getting graded and i am having bigger issues.
My group isnt really doing anything other than singing and cursing infront of mr Miller. we did end up finishing out boat tail but it was very pathetic.

so on spring break we went to competition. we did pretty poorly but it was good practice. we also found out we need a climber so we are deffinitly going to make one fast. after competition some of us went to dinner and just had a relaxing time. then i went home and just chilled for the week. i didnt do much but i enjoyed time with friends. i will have pictures soon.

Today we talked to the class about the competition. we did this because they watched some of our matches and we won some awards and they wanted to see them. we also talked about our plan for next competition.
Today In Robotics: After school a few of us got together in the shop to work. programing worked on some vision stuff and fab worked on finishing the climber. well actually we started the climber and got it done at around
8:30. its been a long week and its only the first day :(
today we worked on making buttons for the competition and working on setting up the climber. we are also talking to the swiss people because they got here today.
Today In Robotics: tonight we are packing and then going and setting up the pit. we got there an hour late because of trafic and didnt have time to set up the pit.we then got dinner at souplantation and then made
the two hour drive in traffic. we didnt get home until around 10:45 and i still had to pack.
today we are working on our websites because the thursday crew has all the stuff and so we dont have anything to work on.
Today In Robotics: after school we are all getting on a bus and driving to competition. its going to be fun but i am so tired after last night.

Today Mr Gordon is here and we are talking about bearing friction and we sent him the cad. also Mr Miller showed us his car CAD.
Today In Robotics: Ally is throwing a party for the swiss and some of the robotics kids. it was alot of fun and we all had a good time. it eventually turned into a talk around the fire and everyone had fun.
Also on Sunday Nathan threw a party for some of us and we took a hike down the mountain.
Today the cheer team got yelled at because our websites were bad. we are all working on them right now. i got a 5.5 because i have been putting alot of work into the robot. we have all put alot of work into the robot but only kevin got a good robot grade. Mr miller thinks we should document our stuff but not even kevin did but he still got a nine. none of us really know how to feel right now.
Today In Robotics: we shipped the robot out today and the freedolins got theirs out too!
Today we have block again and we are all working on websites. i am adding pictures and that kind of thing but i am running out of things i want to add.

it is block so we didnt have robotics yesterday. today we are working on our websites for two hours and talking to our new student. i have gotten almost all of the dates done for this grading period. i only have a few more.

Today i was home sick. i dont know what i had but it was annoying. i sat home all day and just slept and it was terrible

today is block so i am working on websites. i am also helping sam make another drum for the climber as a backup. we are really hopeing it looks good to aliances if we can climb

Today is a block day and i really dont have much to do. i have updates on my website and im all up to date on that part. they dont need my help with the wednesday challenge and everyone else is gone
it has been a very boring day. i started working on a sketchup for my skateboard but i doubt i have time to make one because i have been ocupied with the robot. The robot of course takes priority over
a skateboard.
Because we didnt have school on monday the group that went to Champs was talking about what they did there. I didnt go but i still was getting pictures and texts from the people that went
so all this infromation was all repeated so i was very bored. Their presentation went though the whole period so i didnt have anything to do.
Today we are unpacking the van from Houston. The Gordons just got back and we had to help them get everything out. we finally got the robot back and they showed me the climb because i still havent seen it.
Then we started packing for Saturday becuase we are going to two events on saturday and have to be prepaired for those.
Toady we are working on websites because websites are getting graded. i was almost all the way updated i just had to add a few dayys. other people are very behind and they really need the
day.
Today Sam, Cole and i worked on making a box to put the metal shelves on. this will help next year when we have to move the shelves to competeition because the boxes have been falling apart for years.
today we reinforced the boxes because they still need work. we placed some 2X4s around them so the corners wouldnt fall apart.this should be alot better that the cardboard we use now because it is falling apart.

We have a wednesday challenge today but i am cleaning out the back because we want people to start using their boards and they cant do that without a clean surface to ride on. so dr neat told me to skip the
challenge so that i could clean.

Today i am finishing my skateboard sketchup and it is looking really good. i will put a cad HERE ->

today i am printing out my board. there is a really long line to get to the printer so it took me a very long time to even start printing. then it took ten minuets to even print the pages because it is a very old printer. i didnt have time to tape the paper together.

Today i was able to put all my paper together and tape it. i also helped matty glue her wood becuase this is her first skateboard and she was gone when dr neat went over it.

yesterday i was supposed to glue but i forgot that i needed a special press so i didnt glue. today i was able to glue and even got to use the nice press. tomorrow i will pull it out and then work on trucks. also today i cut some boards beause there are two people making small boards and i am one.

Today i was pulling my wood out of the press and that took a while to clean up. then i worked on where i was going to put trucks. i want enough room on the back but i also dont want it too close to the front.

Today i just worked on my website and got pictures for my website. i havent updated in a while so i had to do alot. also i am going to add pictures :)

Today i am working on websites and i found a really cool video from last year when we were doing the skate video
Today i got my wood out of the press and traced out my design on the wood. it was alittle hard because of the curve in the wood.
So yesterday i put the lines on my board but today mr miller couldnt squeeze me in to cut it out because there are too many people cutting so i am working on my website
i got to cut out my board today and again the curves made it more dificult. it turned out ok however it had a few dents i wish i didnt mess up on. its going to take alot of sanding
Today i am sanding trying to get the basic shape looking better. i am trying to get the divits out.
I am still sanding out the edges, i have ti work on putting holes in soon and sand the two faces. that wont take long but i am really trying to get the divits out.
Today i am putting the holes in. they turned out alittle off because i had to hand drill them but i can fix that later. i am now sanding the two faces.
i am trying again to remove the divet in the side of my board. it is really annoying and i want to sand it down but it just wont go away. i also tried to fit my trucks on but the holes are messed update
Today i finished sanding the two plates of the board so it is all nice and smoothe. i finihsed with 250 gritt i believe. after that i blew it off with the air compressor and then worked alittle on my website.
Today is going to be my last day of sanding and i drew all my lines on for my decoration. it is going to look sooooo cool when it is done! im so excited
I brought my dremel in today to fix my holes. after i did that and it all worked well i decided to engrave my nickname on the side of the board. it turned out pretty cool. Angela was pretty honored because she gave me the name
Recently In Robotics: So recently alot has happend for robotics and i cant do alot of it. I didnt get invited to Champs and i understand why but it just means i dont get to do alot of the meeting stuff I am currently helping with gears and packing. We won the engineering inspiration if i didnt already say that. we are very proud and happy to get to go to champs. we are trying to fix the climber and the cheer squad and kevin have been working on finding the gear ratios and gearboxes we need for it to climb. we are working on this with mr Gordon because he has been doing alot of research on the gear systems.

I did some of the painting but i decided to mix it up and not go with the lines. i just did a cool splater and it turned out pretty sick. i am only missing the white paint.
My favorite artist just released a new song and an album release date. I am so excited!!!
This is the game i have been playing recently. its alot of fun but its very hard and i have made a few friends as well
this robot makes me very sad. it is so amazing
